Product Description
Experience the heart of the Outback with this luxurious day tour, blending exploration and discovery! π¦πΊ Your professional guide will unveil the real outback, starting with an early pickup from your Alice Springs accommodation (where you can grab breakfast at Erldunda π³) or directly from Ayers Rock Resort if you’re starting there. Your journey then takes you to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre π§βπ¨, a unique building crafted with 90,000 mud bricks and local Anangu assistance on a sacred site. Here, you’ll delve into the rich history of the Pitjantjatjara people and have time for souvenirs. ποΈ
Next, head to the base of the majestic Uluru for a guided Mala Walk.πΆββοΈ Your guide will share ancient Anangu stories as you admire fascinating rock art along Uluru’s north-west side. Remember, climbing Uluru is no longer permitted due to its cultural significance. You’ll then take a scenic coach ride to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, home to the ancestral water snake, Wanampi. Learn about local traditions and how the Anangu people historically used this area for hunting, with insights into their ancestral rock art caves. π§ As the day concludes, prepare for an unforgettable Uluru sunset BBQ ππ₯©. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset with a glass of bubbly (or your own beer!), followed by a delicious Aussie dinner. After sunset, guests are dropped off at Ayers Rock Resort or returned to Alice Springs.
