Both tours visit the iconic Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout! The key difference is your style of adventure: the Northern Lights itinerary focuses heavily on underwater exploration with two separate snorkeling stops on fringing coral reefs. The Southern Lights itinerary focuses on beach time, giving you much more relaxation time on the white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach.
Yes, top-of-the-line snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, and fins) is fully provided as part of your day package. During warmer months, high-quality stinger suits or wetsuits are also included to ensure you are fully protected and comfortable while swimming in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
It is very unlikely! Unlike heavy, slow-rolling traditional catamarans that cause seasickness, Ocean Rafting uses custom-built, ultra-fast rigid inflatable vessels (RIBs). Driven by massive engines, these boats easily skim over the waves rather than rocking back and forth. It’s an exhilarating, bumpy, high-speed ride that keeps motion sickness at bay.
