These half-day tours run daily, with convenient pick-ups from Cairns and Port Douglas (or self-drive options). No experience is necessary – our world-class River Guides have got you covered for two hours of exhilarating fun, excitement, and adventure! 🎉🚣♀️

- Enjoy up to two hours rafting, on up to grade 3 rapids followed by tea & coffee while you view photo’s of your rafting adventure.
- This is where we do our half day white water rafting tour, on the ebb and flow of the Barron River, as it snakes its way down from the mountains and heads out to the Coral Sea.
- This is a scenic rafting / rainforest adventure which combines calm water floating with a series of white water rapids for adventure and action.

General Overview
- Arrival & Briefing: Get picked up from your Cairns/Port Douglas accommodation (or self-drive). Meet our professional guides who’ll get you ready and safe for the rapids!
- River Adventure Begins! Push off into the Barron River, carved through the stunning Barron Gorge National Park. You’ll tackle a series of exciting Grade 3 rapids mixed with peaceful floating sections.
- Immersive Scenery: Be surrounded by ancient rainforest and stunning scenery – thick, lush green covering the mountains right down to the water’s edge. Take in the incredible views of this Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
- Hydro Power Views: Learn about the green power of the 66 MW Barron Gorge Hydro power station as you raft through pristine waters that help power Cairns.
- Fun & Safety: Your expert guides will keep you entertained while ensuring your safety throughout the entire ride. They’re recognized leaders in river safety!
- Return Journey: After an action-packed 2 hours on the water, we’ll head back, dropping you off at your accommodation.

- Prepare for your Rafting Trip:
- Wear swimming costume under your clothes
- You must wear shoes – reef sandals, sneakers or anything with an ankle strap is suitable.
- Bring a towel and a spare change of clothes
- Leave all of your jewelry at your accommodation
- Hire shoes are available for hire at $5/pair if you do not wish to get your own shoes wet
- Photo’s available for purchase on the day for $59.

Don’t ForgetTo wear secure shoes. Footwear with a heel strap must be worn and hire shoes are available for $5, if you don’t want your shoes getting wet. Thermal tops and dry tops available for $5 for hire each.
