Perfect for extended weekend adventures, this 3-day 4×4 package offers fun in diverse settings: bush, beaches, lakes, and rainforests. You’ll have countless opportunities to capture Instagram-worthy photos 📸 walking in the rainforest at Pile Valley, swimming in Champagne Pools 🫧, or discovering the Maheno Shipwreck. Learn to 4WD on K’gari (if over 21 with an open license) and visit Lake McKenzie 💙, Eli Creek 💧, Central Station, plus more! Important things to know!

  • 3 Days, 2 night experience on Fraser Island.
  • Private Beach House accommodation with quad share rooms at Eurong on K’gari’s eastern beach.
  • Meals included – 3 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and some snacks.
  • Experience 4WD on the island (driver safety briefing morning of departure).
  • No off-road driving experience is necessary, you will be briefed and shown the correct methods.
  • There is no pressure to drive, you are more than welcome to be a passenger!
  • Drivers must be 21 years or over, with a full licence for an automatic vehicle of 2 years minimum.
  • Credit card imprint required for drivers (no funds held).
  • Free pick up from your hostel in Hervey Bay from 7:00 am or meet at our office at 7:15 am
  • Free street car parking while you are away.
  • Returns 4-4:15 pm on the third day.
  • Return barge transfer included.
  • Luggage storage can be organised $20 per backpack.
  • Trip itinerary can vary depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances i.e. access closures.
  • Guides reserve the right to make the best call for passenger safety and comfort.

Itineraries and meals are subject to change.

Start your K’gari adventure with a 7:30 AM driver briefing in Hervey Bay. By 10:00 AM, you’ll arrive on the island via barge/ferry, settling into Bringabeeralong House for a fresh sandwich lunch. Afternoon choices include a 5km walk to Lake Wabby or a visit to Lake Birrabeen. Return for relaxation, showers, a hearty dinner, and a mesmerizing stargazing walk on the beach (curfew 10 PM).

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the beach, followed by a continental breakfast. Then, embark on an action-packed day of beach driving (weather/tide permitting), exploring iconic sites like Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, Pinnacles, Cathedral Beach, Lake Allom, and Champagne Pools. Enjoy fresh wraps for lunch on the beach or at Lake Allom. Return to the beach house via K’gari Beach Resort to restock before a delicious dinner with your group. End the night with a stargazing walk before the 10 PM curfew.

Start your final day with a stunning sunrise over K’gari’s Eastern Beach and a hearty breakfast. Pack up and depart by 11:30 AM for Lake McKenzie to soak in its pristine beauty. Next, visit Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk before lunch. Begin your drive home, arriving at Kingfisher Resort or Wanggoolba Creek by 2:00/2:30 PM for the barge departure. You’ll be back in Hervey Bay by 4:00 PM.

  • Alcohol (no spirits & no glass allowed) and snacks if you wish.

  • Driver safety briefing is at 7:30am the morning of departure (accommodation pick up available from 7:00am).
  • Tour returns 6.00pm – 6:15 pm on the final day of the tour.
  • The trip itinerary can vary depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances i.e. track or beach access closures.
  • We have an excess of $2500 per driver
  • this can be reduced to NIL by paying $50 per driver
  • OR freezing the funds of $2500 per driver travel group
  • Luggage storage can be organised for $20 per backpack.
  • Secure vehicle storage is available for $40 2 days, however there are limited spaces available.
  • Free on-street car parking while you are away.
  • Eco-certified tourism operator, all vehicles are carbon off-set!
