Litchfield is about 100 km away, roughly a 1.5-hour drive, so it’s an easy day trip 🚐 Kakadu is much bigger and starts about 200 km east of Darwin. A day trip covers the highlights, but 3 to 5 days lets you see a lot more.
The airport is about 13 km from the city by road, around a 15-minute drive ✈️ Grab a taxi or rideshare from the terminal, or book the Darwin City Airport Shuttle to your hotel.
Darwin’s famous night market on the beach 🌅 It runs every Thursday and Sunday from 4 to 9pm, from late April to late October (it’s closed November to March). Come for the sunset, the food stalls and the live music.
